An antique decorative brass inkwell and quill storage case, a really wonderful piece of desk/shelve decor that is a real eye-catcher. This piece was purchased here in south west France although we believe its middle eastern in origin. One can only imagine the sights and history this old piece has witnessed - fascinating!

Estimated age is around 150 years old. 

Condition: good used antique condition with age-related wear such as a small dent on the quill storage (see photo 14) and one of the hinges on the door of the quill case has come loose from the main structure (see photo 11) although the lid still opens and closes on the one remaining hinge that is very delicate - we advise that the new owner takes care when opening and closing this very old antique item, and perhaps to open and close it as little as possible and not too wide.
